Belarusian Industrial and Investment Forum to embrace new format on 17-20 September

MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian Industrial and Investment Forum 2019 will take place on 17-20 September. It will follow a new format, BelTA learned from Belarusian Deputy Industry Minister Sergei Gunko on 12 September.

The official said: “This year we are hosting the forum in autumn. It used to take place in late spring – in May. In 2019 we suggested a slightly different concept of the industrial forum: we've combined it into an industrial and investment one. An economy sector has been added as well as oil, gas, chemical, and plastic industries. The fact that we are about to finish the five-year term (2016-2020) is the forum's trend. We will begin a new term then. Respectively, we are going to study growth points. We are going to discuss what plans, products, and technologies we will begin the new term with.”

Speaking about growth points for the next five-year term, the deputy industry minister mentioned traditional flagships of the Belarusian mechanical engineering industry – BelAZ, MAZ, MTZ, Amkodor, and promising enterprises in Orsha District.

An expo will be traditionally held as part of the forum. It will feature the latest products and offers of Belarusian companies.

A number of panel discussions will be arranged. Interaction of the Belarusian industrial sector with colleagues from the Russian Federation will be discussed during one of them. Representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission will take part in it.
