Belarusian Gomselmash signs cooperation agreement with Russia's Penza Oblast

GOMEL, 15 October (BelTA) - The Belarusian agricultural machinery manufacturer Gomselmash and the Agriculture Ministry of Penza Oblast of Russia have signed a cooperation agreement, BelTA learned from the company's official website.

Gomselmash Director General Aleksandr Novikov and Andrei Burlakov, Deputy Prime Minister – Agriculture Minister of Penza Oblast, signed the document in Moscow during the Golden Autumn exhibition.

The agreement provides for cooperation in technical and methodological support for agricultural producers in Penza Oblast. Gomselmash shall assist in equipping the region with modern high-performance harvesting equipment and maintaining a permanent regional fair of grain and feed harvesters by providing an extended line-up of farm machines.

A set of measures will be drawn up to promote cooperation with Penza State Agricultural University. The parties also considered the possibility of demonstrating grain and feed harvesters in the fields of Penza Oblast.

The Belarusian holding company Gomselmash is one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machines. It is one of the leaders on the world market of harvesters and other complicated agricultural machines. The company uses the Palesse trademark to market lineups of grain and forage harvesters, ear corn harvesters, potato harvesters, mowers, and other agricultural machines. Palesse harvesters are used in fields of Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Czechia, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Argentina, Brazil, China, South Korea, Baltic states, and other countries. Gomselmash operates an extensive distribution chain, joint ventures, and assembly enterprises.
