MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) - Organizations affiliated with the Belarusian Forestry Ministry have set a new historical record, exporting over 1 million cubic meters of timber in January-November 2025, BelTA learned from the ministry's press service.
Last year, organizations under the Forestry Ministry sold over 1 million cubic meters of timber abroad for the first time. In the context of sanctions introduced by Western countries, this achievement took on added significance.
This year, the industry’s organizations performed even better: the milestone of 1 million cubic meters of timber for export was reached in just 11 months. The total revenue amounted to over $180 million. This marks a $20 million increase year-on-year for the period.
Sales of rounded logs and fuel pellets are also showing positive trends, the press service said.
