Belarusian foodstuffs to be on display in over 20 countries in 2019

MINSK, 23 January (BelTA) – In 2019 Belarusian food producers will take part in over 30 expos in more than 20 countries worldwide with assistance from the Belinterexpo exhibition company of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), BelTA learned from the company.

Expos will be held in Europe, Africa, Central and South Asia, the Middle East, the Caucasus, Central and Latin America.

In particular, in March Belarusian food companies will exhibit their products at the International Food & Drink Event in London. Belarus' foodstuffs will also be presented at the Novi Sad International Agricultural Fair in Serbia on 11-17 May. Belarus' pavilion will be set up at the Anuga trade fair for food and beverages in Cologne, Germany. Later on, Belarusian food producers will travel to Stockholm where they will take part in Northern Europe's largest showcase event for HoReCa. In September Belarus' products will be showcased at the CNR Food Istambul expo in Turkey.

Large-scale exhibitions of Belarusian products, Made in Belarus, will be arranged in Georgia and Kazakhstan in spring. Belarusian food companies will advertise their products in Azerbaijan in May, in Kyrgyzstan in April and in Uzbekistan in November.

As far as the Middle East is concerned, Belarus will display its products in Syria, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

China remains one of the most promising and fastest growing markets for food products. The export of Belarusian agricultural products to this country is growing on the back of dairy and meat products, flax fiber, rapeseed oil, starch, bread and pastry, chocolate and ready-made products. Belarus' food industry giants will take part in China's biggest food expos: the International Dairy Expo in Chengdu in April; HOFEX, Asia's leading food and hospitality tradeshow, in Hong Kong in May; and SIAL, Asia's largest food innovation exhibition, in Shanghai in May. In September a Belarusian pavilion will open at Ulaanbaatar Partnership, an international autumn trade fair for consumer goods and commodity products, in Mongolia.

The Made in Belarus exposition will be arranged at the Sudan Agrofood international trade fair for the agricultural and food industry that will take place in Khartoum on 4-6 March. In December Belarusian food products will be exhibited at the Food Africa expo in Cairo.

The draft plan for arranging national exhibitions and expositions abroad in 2019 features several countries. In March Belarus will present its first national exposition in Nigeria. Apart from that, Belarus' national expos will be arranged in Argentina in June, in Indonesia in October, and at China International Import Expo in Shanghai in November.
