Belarusian food on display in Uzbekistan on 27-29 November

MINSK, 15 October (BelTA) – Belarusian companies will present their products during the international food industry expo UzProdExpo 2019 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, representatives of the National Marketing Center of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

The expo is scheduled to take place on 27-29 November. During the expo food producers will be able to establish business contacts with distributors, retailers, and consumers, thus contributing to larger Belarusian export to Uzbekistan and to the advancement of Belarus-Uzbekistan trade and economic relations.

UzProdExpo is Uzbekistan's largest food industry expo. Every year it attracts over 6,000 visitors, 56% of them are direct buyers, 23% are distributors, with the share of retailers and official delegations at 14% and 7% respectively. The expo showcases food products, raw materials and ingredients, equipment and technologies for making, processing, and storing food, retail equipment.

In 2018 Belarus-Uzbekistan trade was close to $160 million, 20% up from 2017, with Belarus' export at $114 million.

The Belarusian exposition will be organized by the National Marketing Center of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
