Belarusian food export to Russia facilitated by normal dialogue

MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) – A normal dialogue is in progress as far as Belarusian food export to Russia is concerned, BelTA learned from Belarusian Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Igor Brylo on 14 November.

The official noted that a roadmap on cooperation of veterinary services was determined in the wake of meetings of deputy prime ministers and the ministers of agriculture. Representatives of the veterinary services meet in Russia and in Belarus every month. A dozen of Belarusian enterprises were authorized to export products to Russia in the last few weeks.

“I don't want to talk about details of what is sometimes misinterpreted as wars. I want to say there will be no war. Not with the Russian Federation. There are always losers after a war. In our relations merchandise export is always on the rise. The issues some companies face are addressed,” said the official. “Everything develops in peace, including lab tests of some food ingredients. Scientists and experts contribute to the process. We are adjusting our views with each other. A normal consolidated dialogue is in progress.”

The official underlined that domestic processing enterprises can calmly substitute each other these days. “If some company runs into a problem and the Russian Federation suspends deliveries for the duration of an investigation, other Belarusian companies can pitch in. There are no problems with it,” assured Igor Brylo.
