Belarusian food, agricultural machines on display in Georgia

MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – A Made in Belarus section featuring Belarusian products has been opened as part of the Agro Food Drink Tech Expo, which is scheduled to take place in Tbilisi, Georgia on 20-22 November, BelTA learned from the exhibition company BelInterExpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The section featuring Belarusian products is the largest one of the expo and uses the motto “High quality, reliable partners”. Ten Belarusian companies have put their products on display. Babushkina Krynka Company presented three new products at once. Those are sterilized drinking milk enriched with inulin for school students, milk enriched with calcium and the D3 vitamin, and milk with the fat content of 3.5% for feeding babies and toddlers. Molochny Gostinets Company presented whole-milk and sour-milk products, including cottage cheese products, melted cheese and semi-hard cheese, butter, organic milk cocktails with various flavoring agents. It is the first time Smorgon Milk Products (a branch of OAO Lida Milk and Canning Plant) has presented its products in Georgia. The company offers skimmed milk powder and whole milk powder, butter with the fat content of 82.5%, and cottage cheese.

Volkovysk Meat-Processing Plant put on display gourmet products made of pork, beef, and poultry meat. The Mogilev meat-packing plant showcases the latest meat products, including sausages, ready-to-cook meat food, meat, and giblets. Oshmyany Meat Processing Plant offers a broad range of sausage products, raw smoked and dry-cured products, beef products, and ready-to-cook food. Products of this company are not yet present on the Georgian market. The company is seeking reliable partners.

Morozproduct offers popular ice cream varieties as well as frozen meat and fish convenience food, bread, vegetables and berries, products made of potatoes, and a proprietary brand of pelmeni. The Bykhov vegetable dehydration and canning plant offers food canned using natural methods, including tinned fruits and vegetables, juices, jams, preserves, pickles, tomato pastes and sauces, salads, snacks, and side dishes. Visitors seem partial to birch juice, which is available for sampling.

The Belarusian mechanical engineering company Gomselmash demonstrates a potato harvester-loader, which has been developed to specifications of the Georgian partners and has already been field tested. A number of agricultural machines marketed using the Palesse brand are on display: the grain harvester KZS-10K, self-propelled forage harvesters KSK-600 and KVK-800 with panoramic windshields, automated controls, and protection against heat, noise, and dust. Some of the machines are represented as actual products in the open air. The company has sold 30 Palesse harvesters in Georgia this year.

Lidagroprommash Company demonstrates the precision seeding machine STV-4KU and the universal pneumatic seeding machine SPU-4D.

The opening of the section featuring Belarusian products was accompanied by the business forum Belarus-Georgia: Cooperation Prospects. Ambassador of Belarus to Georgia Mikhail Myatlikov, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia Nino Chikovani, and First Deputy Environmental Protection and Environment Minister of Georgia Nodar Kereselidze took part in the forum. The events were organized by BelInterExpo with assistance of the Embassy of Belarus in Georgia and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia.

Over 120 companies from 14 countries are taking part in the expo.
