VITEBSK, 1 September (BelTA) – Enterprises should more actively invest in equipment and technologies in order to increase their export. Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko made the relevant statement while talking to reporters in Vitebsk on 1 September, BelTA has learned.
During a working trip to Vitebsk on 1 September the prime minister participated in the opening of a large school complex in a new microdistrict in the city. He also visited the export-oriented enterprise OOO PO Energokomplekt and OAO Display Design Office for fact-finding purposes.
In his words, it is very important for other companies to also more actively sell on European markets. “It is a very serious task for us that we cannot accomplish as fast as we would like to for now. In order to ensure the proper quality of products of enterprises, it is necessary to invest in equipment and technologies, go through certification procedures. We are purposefully moving in this direction. It is our goal while diversification for the sake of diversification is not. If products sell on the European Union market, then the products are sophisticated and competitive. If they sell over there, they will sell everywhere,” Roman Golovchenko stressed.
Speaking about leaked news about the suspension of work at some enterprises, Roman Golovchenko noted that all the enterprises are working. “Those, who want to work, do. If people are busy, they don't have time to spare for anything else. We've removed the problem from the agenda. Such leaks are arranged by those, who want to make their desires look like what's really happening,” Roman Golovchenko stated.
