This year's Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum includes international exhibitions Energy. Ecology. Energy Saving. Electro, Oil&Gas Technologies, Atomexpo Belarus, ExpoLight, Water & Air Technologies, ExpoCity, and the 24th Belarusian Energy and Ecology Congress. The Energy Ministry will hold a joint event with the German Energy Agency DENA. “Using municipal solid waste as a source of electric power is still new to us. We will also cooperate in digitalization of the power sector and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals,” Olga Prudnikova added.

Participants of the forum will showcase modern equipment and technologies for generating and distributing electrical and thermal energy, automated systems, energy- and resource-saving technologies.

Moreover, the forum will demonstrate new technologies for environmental protection, Belarus Deputy Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Minister Andrei Khmel said. Representatives of the ministry will take part in a lot of themed events.

“Energy and environmental protection are closely connected today. At the forum, we will discuss the topic of the Sustainable Development Goals. The Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Ministry is responsible for the implementation of 7 out of 17 SDGs, including the ones on reduction of emissions, preservation and responsible use of water resources,” Andrei Khmel noted. “I think that the Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum will give an impetus to the development of technologies designed to protect the environment,” he added.
