Belarusian dump trucks entering Indian market

MINSK, 16 October (BelTA) – BelAZ, Belarusian manufacturer of mining vehicles, is expanding into the Indian market. The company has signed a contract to supply 77 dump trucks BelAZ-75137 with the payload capacity of 136 tonnes to Coal India Limited, BelTA learned from the press service of the company.

The vehicles will be used at the Gevra open cast mine complex. The vehicles will be supplied with spare parts and provided with maintenance service for the period of eight years. A maintenance center is to open near the mine complex.

The contract is estimated at about $200 million. The first shipments of dump trucks will be made in November and December 2019.

Coal India Limited is an Indian state-controlled coal mining and refinery company headquartered in West Bengal. It is the world's largest coal-producing company. It operates 430 coal mines in 81 mining areas across eight states of India.

Based in Zhodino, Minsk Oblast, the public joint-stock company (OAO) BelAZ is the managing company of BelAZ holding company. BelAZ is the world's leading manufacturer of haul trucks with a large payload capacity and an extremely large payload capacity. The company also makes other kinds of heavy duty vehicles for the mining industry and the civil engineering industry.
