MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian public transport manufacturer BKM Holding will ship over 200 vehicles to Russia in 2023, BelTA learned from BKM Holding Director General Taras Murog.
Taras Murog said: “Demand for BKM Holding's products in Russia can be evaluated by the number of contracts: we will ship over 200 vehicles to Russia in 2023. Deliveries to St. Petersburg will continue this year. The first trolleybuses of our make have already been delivered to Yekaterinburg and Krasnodar. Deliveries of trams to Barnaul and Samara will begin soon. A contract on selling 15 trolleybuses to Murmansk was signed not so long ago.”
The executive remarked that only manufacturers in the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry's registry can participate in subsidizing programs in Russia. “We promote joint manufacturing with Russian companies specifically for the sake of participation in such projects. Joint ventures for assembling trams operate in Vorsma and Novosibirsk. Local assembly of trolleybuses is in progress in Krasnoyarsk and Nizhny Novgorod,” the BKM Holding CEO said.
