MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) – The Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom is expanding cooperation with Russia in the area of wool processing, Bellegprom's representatives told BelTA.

A trip to an independent state lab under the All-Russian Animal Breeding Research Institute took place as a Bellegprom delegation led by the concern's Chairwoman Tatiana Lugina visited Moscow. The delegation included representatives of the enterprises Kamvol, Vitebsk Carpets, Slonim Worsted and Spinning Factory, and the Ilyich-based wool-scouring plant.

During the trip to the lab negotiations were held with Deputy Director of the Animal Husbandry and Animal Breeding Department of the Russian Agriculture Ministry Nadezhda Durygina and Chairman of the Wool Committee of the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of the Textile and Light Industries (Soyuzlegprom) Sergei Puzanov.

The sides discussed matters concerning the collection of Russian wool and its processing at Belarusian enterprises. In order to enable transparent deals, Belarusian processing enterprises will buy wool via the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE).
