Belarusian Belkommunmash to make 12 hybrid trolleybuses for Ukrainian Dnepr

MINSK, 15 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian electric transport manufacturer Belkommunmash has contracted to deliver a number of trolleybuses to the Ukrainian city of Dnepr, BelTA has learned.

In line with the contract Belkommunmash will team up with its daughter enterprise OOO BKM-Ukraine to make 12 trolleybuses of the 32100D model.

The trolleybuses will have an autonomous travel capability based on super capacitors similarly to Belkommunmash's electric buses. The system boasts a long service life and a lower weight in comparison with lithium batteries. The combination of these factors allows carrying the maximum number of passengers in this kind of passenger compartment and charging the trolleybus within only 5-6 minutes at the end of the line.

The entire batch of trolleybuses will be equipped with a video surveillance system, air conditioning for passengers and the driver, and USB sockets.
