Belarusian BelAZ to sell $600m worth of haul trucks to Russia in 2020

ST PETERSBURG, 17 July (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ intends to ship about $600 million worth of haul trucks to Russia in 2020, BelTA learned from BelAZ Director General Piotr Parkhomchik on 17 July.

The CEO said that the company continues taking orders for 2020. Orders have been received from Ural Mining Metallurgical Company (UMMC), AO SUEK, ZAO Stroyservis, and Nornickel. “All these contracts will be signed in August-September. The Russian partners will get approximately 600 haul trucks worth roughly $600 million,” Piotr Parkhomchik said.

Contracts for current deliveries to Russia were signed in early 2018. “We are executing them. So far we've shipped 457 haul trucks and 260 rail freight cars. By the end of the year we have yet to deliver about 300 haul trucks and the same number of freight cars,” Piotr Parkhomchik added.
