Belarus, Zimbabwe seek cooperation in light industry

MINSK, 1 February (BelTA) - Belarus and Zimbabwe are interested in developing cooperation in light industry. The matter was discussed during the talks between Chairwoman of the Belarusian light industry concern Bellegprom Tatiana Lugina and Minister of Industry and Commerce of Zimbabwe Sekai Nzenza on 31 January, BelTA learned from the Bellegprom press service.

“There is a mutual interest of our countries in cooperation. Today we have discussed promising areas with our counterparts. We have invited a Zimbabwean business delegation to pay a return visit to Belarus within the next two months and learn more about the light industry in Belarus,” Tatiana Lugina said.

Bellegprom will also study the ways of shipping cotton from Zimbabwe. Opportunities for cooperation in the textile and leather industries were also discussed on the sidelines of the Belarus-Zimbabwe business forum in Harare.
