MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) – Plans are in place to hold the third Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine in October this year, Charge d'Affaires of Belarus to Ukraine Kirill Kamyshev said during an online meeting “Ukraine-Belarus: economic cooperation at at time of global challenges”, BelTA has learned.
“The third Forum of Regions of Ukraine and Belarus will be held in October. Now we are coordinating the technical points, including the date. I think that we will agree on the date soon. But there is no doubt that it will be October,” the diplomat said.
Kirill Kamyshev believes that without the active involvement of the business communities of Belarus and Ukraine in the work of this forum, the event will not be as effective and efficient as possible, and urged businessmen to view this opportunity as a platform for strengthening cooperation and finding new partners. “Big contracts are traditionally concluded during the meetings of the advisory business cooperation council organized by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of our countries. It is important to use this opportunity to increase the number of joint projects. There is no postponing it because of the pandemic. Now is the time to act, not to stop,” the diplomat stressed.
