Belarus-UK post-Brexit cooperation discussed in London

MINSK, 28 January (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Sergei Aleinik has met with Minister of State at the Department for International Trade of the United Kingdom Conor Burns, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“During the meeting the parties discussed the entire range of bilateral cooperation in trade and investment, emphasized their interest in expanding trade and economic cooperation after Britain's withdrawal from the EU,” the statement of the foreign ministry reads.

The sides exchanged views on a number of specific projects in manufacturing, green technology, environmentally friendly public and commercial transport, financial sector, information technology and a number of other areas.
