Belarus, Turkmenistan considering making drugs together

MINSK, 18 February (BelTA) – The possibility of jointly manufacturing medications was discussed at a recent meeting of Ambassador of Belarus to Turkmenistan Oleg Tabanyukhov, top executives of the Belarusian company ZAO BelAseptika and Turkmen Health and Medical Industry Minister Nurmuhammed Amannepesov, BelTA has learned.

The sides discussed the state and prospects of advancing Belarus-Turkmenistan cooperation in healthcare as well as in medical industry and pharmaceutics. Representatives of the Belarusian company discussed cooperation options with the state pharmaceutical industrial group Turkmendermansenagat. The sides expressed interest in mutual trade in medical herbs, which grow in Belarus and Turkmenistan, other natural and synthetized components for making medications as well as ready-made drugs. BelAseptika and Turkmendermansenagat intend to look into the possibility of starting manufacturing medications together in detail.

As a result of the talks the sides once again confirmed a strong interest in further expanding mutual cooperation not only in mutual trade in raw materials and ready-made products, but also in the development of manufacturing cooperation to make healthcare products for citizens of Belarus and Turkmenistan.
