Belarus, Turkey sign documents to expand cooperation

MINSK, 14 February (BelTA) - Belarus and Turkey signed a number of documents to expand cooperation in various fields in Minsk on 14 February, BelTA has learned.

The governments of Belarus and Turkey signed an agreement on mutual promotion and protection of investments and an agreement on international multimodal transport of goods. Belarus' Sport and Tourism Ministry and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Turkey concluded an agreement on cooperation in the field of sport. The protocol of exchange of instruments of ratification of the Belarus-Turkey agreement on legal assistance in civil, commercial and criminal cases was inked as well.

Belarus' State Committee for Standardization and Turkish Standards Institution signed the action plan to implement the memorandum of understanding on technical cooperation. The national libraries of the two countries also agreed on interaction.

A memorandum of understanding was signed by the Belarusian Innovation Fund and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey.

The documents were signed following the talks between Belarus' Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov and his Turkish counterpart Binali Yildirim .
