Belarus' travel services export at $116m in January-July 2023

MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) - The export of Belarusian tourist services exceeded $116 million in January-July 2023, Director of the Tourism Department of the Belarusian Sport and Tourism Ministry Irina Voronovich said at the press conference “Tourism of Belarus: Development, Innovations and New Opportunities”, BelTA has learned.

“This year inbound tourism was good. Most of tourists coming to us are from Russia. There are also visitors from Turkiye, China, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. People are interested in visiting health resorts, attractions, ecological trails, etc.,” Irina Voronovich said.

In January-July 2023, the export of tourist services exceeded $116 million.

“It is worth mentioning that August has not been yet taken into account. Belarus hosted the 2nd CIS Games then and welcomed many tourists,” the director of the department said.

She added that domestic tourism also showed positive dynamics.
