Belarus to take part in Rostov-on-Don business matchmaking session

BREST, 27 November (BelTA) – Belarus' business representatives are set to pay a working visit to Rostov Oblast, Russia on 27-28 November, deputy head of the foreign economic cooperation department at the Brest Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dmitry Pechko told BelTA.

The agreement to hold a business meeting was reached at the 5th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. The business visit was organized by the Brest Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the office of the Belarusian embassy in Rostov-on-Don, the government and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rostov Oblast. The main objective of the event is to promote the products of Belarusian enterprises to the Russian market, strengthen interregional trade and economic cooperation, establish new business contacts.

The Belarusian delegation includes representatives of MTZ Holding Company, Gomselmash, Amkodor, heads of the Minsk Margarine Plant and the Vitebsk Oil Extraction Plant, directors of BelovezhKhimProm from Pruzhany, which specializes in the production of micronutrients and feed additives, Invet Company from Vitebsk Oblast, which makes products from polymeric materials for various industries. About ten companies will take part in the meeting.

The program of the event will include meetings with the leadership and specialists of the Agriculture and Food, Construction, Housing and Public Utilities Ministries of Rostov Oblast, visits to enterprises and negotiations. A business matchmaking session scheduled for 28 November will feature business representatives of Rostov Oblast. It is expected that the business forum will bring together about 60 participants from two sides.
