Belarus to take part in ITIF Asia in Pakistan in March

MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) – A collective Belarusian stand will be displayed at ITIF Asia, the international trade and industry trade fair, due in Karachi, Pakistan on 21-23 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Marketing Center at the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs that acts as the organizer of the Belarusian exposition.

“ITIF Asia is the largest expo in that region that demonstrates vehicles, machines, and equipment. Belarusian enterprises will showcase tractors, trucks, agricultural vehicles, electrical equipment, and new solutions in power engineering, metallurgy, and petrochemistry,” representatives of the center noted.

Pakistan is one of Belarus' priority partners in South Asia. “Belarusian enterprises took part in the International Engineering & Machinery Asia expo in Lahore in 2019 where their products attracted a lot of interest from Pakistan's official and business circles. At the expo Belarusian companies signed long-term contracts, protocols of intent, and cooperation agreements worth a total of over $850 million. The implementation of these documents is already underway,” the center added.

Karachi is the financial and economic capital of Pakistan. The city boasts a well-developed automobile engineering industry and is home to the country's largest corporations, including those that design software and conduct scientific research.

The National Marketing Center believes that participation of Belarusian companies in ITIF Asia will help boost Belarus' export to Pakistan and expand the range of products supplied to markets of South Asia.
