MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) – Belarus will stop making biodiesel fuel as from 2020, representatives of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim told BelTA.

Plans to stop producing biodiesel were discussed as Belneftekhim Chairman Andrei Rybakov met with employees of the Mogilev-based chemical company OAO Mogilevkhimvolokno.

Speaking about the company's performance, Andrei Rybakov noted that due to the plans to drop biodiesel fuel production next year Mogilevkhimvolokno will have a hard time trying to hit its assigned performance targets.

Andrei Rybakov also mentioned a number of internal and external factors that will determine the work of the Belarusian petrochemical industry in the near future, right till 2024. The tax maneuver in the Russian Federation was mentioned as well as market pricing and the cost of oil.

Andrei Rybakov answered questions of Mogilevkhimvolokno employees. The questions focused on investment projects and the concept of the company's future development.
