
MINSK, 28 March (BelTA) – All the arrangements with Zimbabwe will be fulfilled within the specified timeframe. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Piotr Parkhomchik made the relevant statement as he met with a Zimbabwe delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe Frederick Shava, BelTA has learned.
Piotr Parkhomchik remarked that an impressive amount of work had been done in the last few years, which allowed advancing to a brand new level of mutual relations between Belarus and Zimbabwe.
A historical visit of Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko to Zimbabwe has been held. “A number of agreements have been secured. All of them were formalized and implemented into a roadmap between the states. This voluminous document covers events concerning politics, diplomacy, trade, economy, agriculture, healthcare, medicine, security, power engineering, sales and aftersales service of machines, equipment, and vehicles. I am pleased to state that all the vehicles shipped to Zimbabwe are in use and we are getting positive feedback,” the deputy prime minister said.
Piotr Parkhomchik reminded that the Zimbabwe president had declared the third phase of mechanization of Zimbabwean agricultural enterprises. “Belarus will certainly participate in that. During the visit to Harare our specialists clarified all the minor details. They will be directly involved in the construction of new grain storage facilities and the modernization of existing ones. Belarus has started executing a contract on selling fire trucks to Harare. All the assigned tasks will be accomplished within the specified timeframe,” the official concluded.
