MINSK, 19 January (BelTA) – On 18 January Belarus supplied 3.1 million kWh of electricity to Ukraine, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry.
“Amid severe frosts, a total of 3.1 million kWh of electricity was supplied to the Ukrainian energy system from Belarus on 18 January under a bilateral agreement on emergency assistance. Electricity was supplied from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.,” the press service said.
The maximum capacity was 500 MW.
“The supplies were made to ensure the stable operation of the Ukrainian energy system during adverse weather conditions,” the ministry added.
