Belarus, Sri Lanka discuss cooperation in trade, economy

MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – Bilateral trade and priority avenues of economic cooperation between Belarus and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka were discussed at the meeting between Director of the National Center for Marketing of Belarus Nikolai Borisevich and Assistant Secretary General of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL) Tilan Wijesooriya, BelTA learned from the National Center for Marketing.

The interlocutors agreed that it is necessary to hold a series of events to inform the business communities of Belarus and Sri Lanka about the economic potential of the two countries.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Sri Lanka Janitha Abeywickrema Liyanage, as well as Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Belarus Dmitry Ruzanov.
