Belarus sets up working group to advance integration with Russia

MINSK, 10 January (BelTA) - Belarus Prime Minister Sergei Rumas issued resolution No. 5р on 10 January 2019 to set up the working group that will draw up proposals on the further development of Belarusian-Russian integration. The group shall be led by Economy Minister Dmitry Krutoi, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.

The group comprises of 30 people, including Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko, representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs, finance, agriculture and food, energy, industry, defense and several others, Belneftekhim Concern, the National Bank, the KGB, the State Border Committee, the parliament, and other agencies.

The group shall draw up proposals on the ways of promoting Belarusian-Russian integration and submit them to the Council of Ministers (together with draft normative legal acts if necessary). The group may also involve representatives of the government bodies and other state organizations subordinated to the government.

The working group shall cooperate with Russia's working group on Russian-Belarusian relations.
