MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) – Belarusian Railways has sent the tenth container train with bleached pulp to China, BelTA learned from the press center of Belarusian Railways.
The train with products of Svetlogorsk Pulp and Board Mil has departed from Svetlogorsk and is bound to China's Chongqing. The train consists of 41 40-foot containers. The freight forwarding services for the project are provided by the state-owned company Belintertrans-Transport and Logistics Center. The train is expected to arrive at its destination in 12 days.
“Belarusian Railways in association with economic entities creates conditions for the development of transportation of Belarusian exports to China by rail. Belarusian products are supplied in container trains and single containers, which is faster than shipping by sea,” the press center said.
In January-October 2020, Belarusian Railways has sent to China more than 18,000 full containers in terms of twenty-foot equivalent units, or 1.9 times up year-on-year.
Belarusian Railways is ready to ensure a timely and safe shipment of products to China and invites Belarusian companies to cooperation, the press service noted.
