
MINSK, 10 May (BelTA) - Belarus' self-sufficiency in poultry meat is 185%, head of the main department of livestock and fishery activities intensification of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry Natalia Sonich told BelTA.
“Our poultry farms have improved the epidemic situation, introduced sanitary and other technologies. Many of the factories are planned to be re-specialized. Plans are in place to build new complexes. This year we expect to get more than 701,000 tonnes of poultry meat in large agricultural organizations,” the expert said.
She added that the country is planned to reach the production of 772,000 tonnes of poultry meat by 2025.
