Belarus sees good prospects for cross-border projects with Poland

MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) – Belarus sees good prospects for the implementation of cross-border projects with Poland. The matter was discussed at a meeting between Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich and Chairman of the Polish Chamber of Commerce (Krajowa Izba Gospodarcza) Andrzej Arendarski on 26 March, BelTA has learned.

The parties discussed issues related to the organization of the economic forum Good Neighborliness, which the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) annually organizes together with the Polish-Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. “The Good Neighborliness forum means both regional and interstate contracts. I see good prospects for cross-border projects, including with the participation of the European Union,” said Mikhail Myasnikovich.

The speaker hailed the systematic nature of bilateral contacts in the political, economic and humanitarian sectors. The Belarusian parliamentary delegation led by Mikhail Myasnikovich visited Poland in February 2019. During the visit a meeting with Andrzej Arendarski was held. At today's talks in Minsk the speaker recalled the meeting in Warsaw, which set the two parties for active positive work. “We need more joint projects and initiatives,” Mikhail Myasnikovich is convinced.

In turn, Andrzej Arendarski positively assessed the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. He believes that the parties need to strengthen cooperation between entrepreneurs. “It is very important that they work together, open joint ventures," said the chairman of the Polish Chamber of Commerce. In his opinion, an additional impetus should be given to the interaction of the BelCCI regional offices with the Polish regional chambers of commerce. Good Neighborliness is based on regional cooperation, and it always brings success, Andrzej Arendarski said.
