MINSK, 8 December (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia's Vladimir Oblast signed an action plan to implement the agreement between the Vladimir Oblast administration and the Belarusian government on cooperation in trade, economy, science, social and cultural affairs for 2018-2020, BelTA informs with a reference to the website of the Energy Ministry.
The document was signed by Belarusian Energy Minister Vladimir Potupchik and First Vice Governor of Vladimir Oblast Aleksei Konyshev following the session of the joint working group. The Belarusian delegation is in the Russian region on a visit on 5-8 December. The parties reached the agreements on the export of agricultural, automotive, passenger, road-building machinery, utility vehicles, trolleybuses and electro-buses by OAO Management Company of Belkommunmash Holdings.
The parties have identified the priority areas for cooperation in construction, housing and utility services, agricultural industry. The parties are set to develop interregional industrial cooperation, to involve Belarusian construction and design organizations in major infrastructure projects in Vladimir Oblast. The parties also mapped out joint activities in education, health, science, culture and art, exhibition and marketing activities.
In January-September 2017 the trade between Belarus an Vladimir Oblast of Russia amounted to $157.8 million, up 19% over the same period a year prior. The Belarusian export totaled $52.1 million. Belarus' major exports included sugar, dairy products (whey, non-condensed, condensed and powdered milk and cream), liquid-crystal devices, lasers, rolling stock parts, fiberglass, articles made of ferrous metals. Belarus' major imports were chocolate and other confectionery products, copper wire, glass containers, track and signal equipment, metal structures, non-ferrous metals.More about Economy
