Belarus, Russia's Lipetsk Oblast sign cooperation plan of action for 2019-2020

MINSK, 5 April (BelTA) – Belarus' Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Vladimir Koltovich and acting head of the Administration of Russia's Lipetsk Oblast Igor Artamonov signed an action plan to develop bilateral trade, economic, sci-tech and cultural cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART).

On 3-4 April the Belarusian delegation led by Vladimir Koltovich paid a visit to Lipetsk Oblast to attend a meeting of the Belarus-Lipetsk Oblast working group on cooperation. The parties discussed issues of cooperation in trade and investment, industry, agriculture, transport, construction, science, education, youth policy, culture and tourism, healthcare and social security, interregional ties.

“Following the meeting, the parties signed an action plan to boost trade, economic, sci-tech and cultural cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Lipetsk Oblast of the Russian Federation for 2019-2020,” the MART press service said. The sides also agreed to sign an agreement between the government of Belarus and the administration of Lipetsk Oblast on cooperation in the areas and hold a regular meeting of the working group in Minsk in 2019.

During the visit to Lipetsk Oblast the Belarusian delegation held a number of meetings with representatives of the administrations of Lipetsk Oblast, the cities of Lipetsk, Yelets, and Zadonsk, and also the Lipetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Novolipetsk NLMK Group and Bunin Yelets State University.
