Belarus, Russia's Bashkortostan mull over joint high-technology ventures

MOSCOW, 21 January (BelTA) – Belarus and the Republic of Bashkortostan of Russia intend to set up joint knowledge-based high-technology ventures, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia.

“Bashkortostan First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Nazarov, head of the Belarus Embassy Office in Ufa Piotr Baltrukovich, and Head of the ElEison company (Minsk) Vyacheslav Migai met to discuss the development of cooperation between Belarus and Bashkortostan,” the embassy said. “The working meeting focused on ways of boosting trade between Belarus and Bashkortostan, enhancing cooperation, and establishing joint knowledge-based high-technology ventures. The parties also touched upon promising areas of cooperation with Belarusian construction companies and automobile engineering enterprises MAZ, MTZ, Gomselmash, Amkodor, and Belkommunmash,” the embassy added.

Representatives of the ElEison company expressed interest in setting up a Belarusian trading house in Bashkortostan to supply Belarusian food products, automobile fuels and lubricants, grain, and other products to Bashkortostan.
