Belarus, Russia sign roadmap to lift restrictions on dairy supplies

MINSK, 16 July (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia have signed a roadmap to lift restrictions on dairy supplies, TASS cites Rosselkhoznadzor as saying.

On 13 July Head of the Russian food quality watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor Sergei Dankvert held talks with Belarus' Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister, Director of the ministry's Veterinary and Food Oversight Department Ivan Smilgin. The parties signed a roadmap on bilateral cooperation in lifting mutual restrictive measures on dairy supplies in 2018.

As part of the document, starting from 16 July Rosselkhoznadzor removes restrictions on the supplies of dairy products of Molochnye Gorki and Belsyr. Besides, restrictions are lifted on the supplies of pork and pork products of Veles-Meat and Grodno meat packing plant. At the same time, starting from 16 July temporary restrictions are imposed on the import of milk produced by Danone Pruzhany, Minsk Dairy No.1 and Nesvizh Baby Food Plant to Russia.
