
MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia have built a well-coordinated system of integration cooperation, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said as he met with Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin in Sochi, Russia on 7 June, BelTA has learned.

"For two years, we have been building a system of integration interaction, advancing economic integration. This work continues at an unrelenting pace. An extensive bilateral regulatory framework has been formed; systemic interaction is maintained in all areas. This is not only the economy, but also foreign policy and defense. Joint programs and projects are being implemented in manufacturing sector, nuclear energy, space exploration and so on, which is especially important amid the unprecedented external pressure. The system we have created shows great results for the economies of the two countries," Roman Golovchenko said.

Recently, Nizhny Novgorod hosted the conference "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia". This forum was attended by a representative Belarusian delegation. "Our countries are facing a lot of new challenges, including in terms of digital sovereignty, digital transformation, and information security of our countries. These difficulties will make us both stronger and smarter. Success is guaranteed, because we rely on the friendship of our presidents and peoples," the prime minister stressed.

He hailed the positive results in bilateral trade and noted that these indicators are not accidental. They have been achieved thanks to the measures taken. "We are set to work together to protect the market of the Union State. I am confident that we will be able to harness the new trends in digital transformation by promptly resolving the issues, including the mutual recognition of electronic digital signatures. We have begun to implement large projects in machine tool building, microelectronics, and aircraft construction. Now these programs are in the active stage of development. I would also like to note vibrant cooperation with the Russian regions. The agenda is very diverse and rich," the Belarusian head of government noted.
