Belarus-Russia agreement on common rules of competition approved

MINSK, 19 January (BelTA) – Belarus has approved the intergovernmental agreement with the Russian Federation on common rules of competition, signed in Moscow on 9 November 2022. Corresponding Decree No.42 of the Council of Ministers of Belarus of 18 January 2023 was published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA has learned.

According to the decree, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must be notified of Belarus' compliance with domestic procedures necessary for the agreement to enter into force.

Antimonopoly bodies will jointly react to anticompetitive practices and work out unified approaches to their elimination. The document has been elaborated for the purpose of implementation of the Union State program on common rules of competition of the Union State and is aimed at alignment of the antimonopoly legislation.
