MINSK, 17 October (BelTA) - In January-September 2019 Belarus' retail sector expanded by 4.8% in comparable prices year-on-year to reach Br36.2 billion, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee.
In January-September 2019, wholesale trade totaled Br71.2 billion, accounting for 95.9% of the trade in January-September 2018.
In January-September 2019, one-day retail sales per capita made up Br14 as against Br12.7 in the same period a year earlier.
Retail trade by trade companies accounting for 90.7% of the total retail trade amounted to Br32.9 billion, which was up by 6.7% in comparable prices.
In January-September 2019, trade by public catering outlets totaled Br2.1 billion and saw a 7% increase in comparable prices versus the same period a year prior.
