Belarus raises export duties on oil, oil products

MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – On 28 February 2023 the Council of Ministers passed Resolution No.161 to revise export duties on oil and petroleum products that are exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), BelTA learned from the National Legal Internet Portal.

In line with the resolution, the export duty on crude, furnace oil, oil bitumen, petrolatum, paraffin, and waste oils is now $14.2 per tonne ($12.8 per tonne before). The export duty on straight-run gasoline now stands at $7.8 per tonne ($7 before). The export duty on commercial gasoline, diesel fuel, light and middle distillates, benzene, toluene, xylene, lubricants equals $4.2 per tonne ($3.8 before).

The resolution came into force on 1 March 2023.
