Belarus posts deflation in November

MINSK, 9 December (BelTA) - In November 2022 the index of consumer prices for goods and services totaled 98.9% as against October 2022 and 112.4% as against December 2021, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee of Belarus.

In November 2022 the base index of consumer prices, which does not account for changes in prices for individual goods and services susceptible to administrative and seasonal factors, stood at 98.2% over October 2022 and 113.9% in comparison with December 2021.

In November 2022 food prices inched down by 0.6% from October 2022, and up by 13% over December 2021.

Non-food prices have gone down by 2.2% since October 2022 and rose by 14.2% when compared with December 2021.

The index of consumer prices for services reduced by 0.4% over October 2022 and went up by 8.8% as against December 2021.
