Belarus, Poland to develop business cooperation

MINSK, 19 September (BelTA) – Belarusian and Polish business communities have agreed to develop cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.

A cooperation agreement between the Polish Business Association in Belarus and the Polish-Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was signed in the presence of Belarusian and Polish MPs in the town of Sokolka.

The press service recalled that a Belarusian parliamentary delegation is on a visit in Poland till 20 September. Chairman of the Polish-Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Anatoly Velikin makes part of the delegation.

The Belarusian delegation is set to meet with the authorities of Podlaskie Voivodeship, members of the Polish-Belarusian parliamentary group, representatives of the Belarusian national minority and Polish business community. At the invitation of the Polish party the Belarusian MPs will visit Warsaw, Bialystok and Suprasl.

The Belarusian delegation headed by Andrei Naumovich, Chairperson of the Standing Commission on Human Rights, National Relations and Mass Media, head of the working group on cooperation with the Polish Parliament at Belarus' National Assembly, met withDeputy Marshal of the Polish Sejm Ryszard Terlecki and Deputy Marshal of the Polish Senate Maria Koc. The parties discussed the ways of enhancing bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation.
