Belarus' PM visiting Baranovichi Cotton Production Amalgamation

BARANOVICHI, 13 January (BelTA) – Belarus' Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko is visiting Baranovichi Cotton Production Amalgamation on 13 January, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian head of government has toured the manufacturing facilities of the company where he has been shown the technological process of making cotton fabrics. In particular, Roman Golovchenko visited a spinning facility, as well as weaving and finishing factories. The prime minister was updated on the state of things at the company and the performance of the Bellegprom light industry concern in 2022.

The prime minister took part in the meeting to review the company's performance in 2022 and to discuss its development strategy until 2028. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik, Brest Oblast Governor Yuri Shuleiko, Chair of the Bellegprom light industry concern Tatiana Lugina and Director General of Baranovichi Cotton Production Amalgamation Ivan Turchak.

Baranovichi Cotton Production Amalgamation (Blakit brand) will mark its 60th anniversary in 2023. Today it is one of the largest manufacturers of textile products in Europe and the CIS. The company runs a full-cycle production: it processes cotton, manufactures yarn, and produces finished garments. The amalgamation includes spinning, weaving, finishing and clothing factories.
