CHOLPON ATA, 26 August (BelTA) – Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko informed reporters about the agreements reached with Russia as a result of the meeting with Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, BelTA has learned.

Roman Golovchenko said: “We started by discussing progress of realization of Union State programs. We are progressing well, honoring our commitments. Nearly 50% out of over 900 steps and measures have already been carried out. There are virtually no missed deadlines. Timings have been shifted only for some programs due to a large amount of work involved. Particularly with regard to digital platforms – some things required more development time.”

The realization of instructions given by the heads of state in a number of areas was also discussed. Firstly, microelectronics. An agreement on joint work on the development of the microelectronic component base and electronic machine building is in the final stage.

Roman Golovchenko said: “An agreement on expanding the use of Russian ports for transporting Belarusian cargoes is also in the final readiness stage. In other words, we are getting guaranteed shipping capacity via Russia's territory and southern ports. Everything is wrapped up with regard to northern ports. We are now expanding to the south. It is very important because the freight capacity is high, we have to stake out our place.”
