NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK, 2 March (BelTA) – Belarus is set to complete the purchase of the multifunctional sea transshipping complex Bronka in the Port of St. Petersburg in 2023, Belarus' Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Avramenko told journalists prior to the final collegium of the ministry, BelTA has learned.
“We operate the Bronka terminal as a base port for the transshipment of Belarusian cargo in the Port of St. Petersburg. It is already used to transship our main export items. The deal is in the works; I think it will be completed in the near future. The deal is about the purchase,” said Aleksei Avramenko.
According to the minister, the deal is planned to be concluded this year.
The multifunctional sea transshipping complex Bronka is the only deep-water terminal in the Port of St. Petersburg. The depth of the terminal's approach canal and water area is 14.4m. Bronka is conveniently placed thanks to the short approach canal (only 13 nautical miles from the receiving buoy), short distance to the railway station Bronka (1.2km railway), and connection to the St. Petersburg ring road. The transshipping complex Bronka is located to the southwest of St. Petersburg outside the residential area.
