MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) - Belarus plans to significantly increase the export of construction goods and services to Russia, Aleksei Shilo, Head of the Foreign Economic Activity Department of the Belarusian Architecture and Construction Ministry, told BelTA.
Work to increase exports is one of the priority development vectors for the Belarusian construction industry. “Belarus is open for cooperation with all countries. However, given the current foreign economic situation, the Russian Federation remains the main direction to increase exports,” Aleksei Shilo said.
The government annually approves a list of export facilities in Russia, open for Belarusian construction companies. The list is developed by the ministry on the basis of the projects relevant to the regions of the Russian Federation, received within the framework of intergovernmental cooperation. “Thus, the measures taken by the ministry help us ensure stable operation of the enterprises of the country's construction complex abroad with minimum organizational costs and economic risks. In 2023 plans are in place not only to maintain the dynamics of exports of goods and services of the Belarusian construction complex to the Russian Federation, but also to provide a significant increase of cooperation with all Russian regions,” the representative of the Architecture and Construction Ministry added.
