Belarus offers its equipment to Russia's Irkutsk Oblast

MINSK, 28 April (BelTA) - During his visit to Irkutsk, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko spoke about the types of equipment Belarus was ready to offer to Russia's Irkutsk Oblast, BelTA has learned.

Roman Golovchenko is convinced that Belarusian companies are able to satisfy practically all needs of the Russian region in modern automobile, agricultural, road-building and utilities machinery. “With a wide choice and competitive environment, Belarusian manufacturers have proved to be reliable and trustworthy suppliers, who always fulfill their obligations and meet the wishes of the operators of the equipment. We are ready to participate more extensively in the passenger vehicle fleet renewal program. We propose to consider a wide range of buses, trams, trolleybuses, including electric buses. We see that electric transport remains on the agenda. This is modern equipment, which can make the cities of Irkutsk Oblast more attractive,” Roman Golovchenko stressed.

According to the prime minister, Belarus' MAZ and BelAZ are actively cooperating with Irkutsk Oblast in supplying haul trucks. “Our manufacturers are ready to offer not only mining equipment. BelAZ has a wide range of equipment, including truck tractors and tow trucks. We are also aware of the interest of Irkutsk companies in the mining drilling equipment produced by a number of Belarusian companies,” the prime minister said.

According to Roman Golovchenko, Belarusian manufacturers of machine tools and equipment have wide competences to develop metalworking equipment. Belarus produces milling, grinding and other machines. “We are ready to join the programs of machine tool fleet renovation at the industrial enterprises of Irkutsk Oblast. We are ready to send our manufacturers here for negotiations or to host representatives of Irkutsk Oblast for substantive discussion of the issue. Belarusian tractors and harvesters have also proved their worth and are in demand among Belarusian farmers. I can confirm that we are ready to provide uninterrupted supplies of agricultural machinery and trailing equipment,” Roman Golovchenko said.
