
MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) - Russia imports milk from Belarus to compensate for any shortages of this product in the domestic market, Director of the Milk Institute (Russia) Tatiana Nagaeva told the media on the sidelines of the second international forum “Agriculture of Belarus. Dairy Farming”, BelTA has learned.
"Russia cooperates very closely with Belarus in terms of milk supplies. We compensate for the deficit of these products in our country by importing them from your country. Russian imports 5 million tonnes from Belarus. We are developing the dairy industry and are adopting best practices from your country. I would like to note that the Milk Institute also hosts a lot of events that bring together specialists from our countries. Today, we will hear many successful people at the forum who will share their knowledge and experience," Tatiana Nagaeva emphasized.
According to her, the forum “Agriculture of Belarus. Dairy Farming” is a good platform for dialogue where you can find out how the Belarusian dairy sector is doing and how Belarus manages to maintain the leadership positions in the dairy industry
"Many stores with Belarusian products are opening in Russia. Our consumers greatly appreciate the quality of your dairy products. We want to look into your industry, share our knowledge and invite you to visit us. The exchange of experience between countries is always good," Tatiana Nagaeva added.
