MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) - Belarus and Hungary are discussing possible cooperation in agriculture and pharmacology, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik said at the Belarusian-Hungarian economic forum in Budapest on 12 April, BelTA has learned.

“During the talks we actively discussed the issues of our mutual trade and also the possibilities of industrial cooperation both on the Hungarian and Belarusian markets, first of all, in agriculture and pharmacology,” the Belarusian minister of foreign affairs said.

Interaction between the business communities of the two countries is one of the most important foundations for a sustainable bilateral dialogue, Sergei Aleinik said. “We highly appreciate the continued interest of our Hungarian partners in the Republic of Belarus. We have long established reliable ties with Hungary and have gained considerable experience in many areas,” he stressed.

According to the minister, Belarus and Hungary should “more actively open the door to each other, get closer and clearer, and look for new points of contact of mutual interests, which are many”. According to Sergei Aleinik, the areas of Belarusian-Hungarian cooperation cover a wide range of industries: agriculture, construction, industrial cooperation, medicine, and nuclear power.
