Belarus gets fixed price for Russian natural gas till year end

MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia will continue working within the framework of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, within the framework of the roadmaps, which were signed in late 2021. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Yuri Nazarov mentioned it while talking to reporters in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg, BelTA has learned.

The press service of the Belarusian government quoted Yuri Nazarov as saying: “The Belarusian Energy Ministry and PAO Gazprom have signed an agreement on pricing. Two intergovernmental agreements on pricing procedures have been amended. We have abandoned U.S. dollars completely. The price for natural gas has been fixed till the end of the year.”

Yuri Nazarov added: “In H1 2022 we also have to work out a mechanism for setting the price starting 2023 within the framework of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. We have comfortable, understandable, and transparent conditions as of today.”
