Belarus-Germany working group to hold meeting on trade, investment

MINSK, 13 December (BelTA) – The 16th meeting of the Belarusian-German working group in trade and investment will take place at the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone on 19 December, Anatoly Glaz, Head of the Information and Digital Diplomacy Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told the media, BelTA has learned.

“There are plans to discuss the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Belarus and Germany, prospects for cooperation in the areas of finance, energy, information technology, advanced training of leading personnel for the Belarusian economy,” said Anatoly Glaz.

The Belarusian delegation will be led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Evgeny Shestakov. The German delegation will be headed by Eckhard Franz, head of the external economic policy division at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.

The delegations will include representatives of the government bodies of the two countries, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, the Hi-Tech Park, the Development Bank, Belarusbank, the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange, the German Economic Group in Belarus, the German Energy Agency, Eastern Committee - Associations of the German Economy on Cooperation with Eastern European Countries, the German Economy Representation in Belarus, and the German-Belarus Economic Club.
