MINSK, 30 December (BelTA) – Belarus' Finance Ministry plans to float $160 million worth of government bonds in the first quarter of 2020. The schedule of the placement is available on the ministry's website, BelTA has learned.
Two new issues denominated in US dollars will be placed on 14 January and 13 February 13. The maturity period is at least 5 years.
The Finance Ministry recalled that the national budget law provides for the placement of $600 million (in equivalent) worth of government bonds in the domestic financial market in 2020.
In case of incomplete placement of government bonds the Finance Ministry will hold additional placements of unsold volume of bonds during 2020.
